Mesa Valley Chronicles: Jim Benedict-Chapter 8

Chapter 8

The next day Jim was in an exceptionally good mood at work.  He kept catching himself whistling and lost in thought.  He had decided to take Cillay away for a few days.

He had loads of vacation time and he was sure that he’d be able to get time off for her approved as well.   He thought the change of scenery and the time alone together would be great for the both of them.  They would make wonderful memories.

Terrance had agreed to keep Richard for him.  He’d miss his little guy, but he knew that Terrance would take good care of Richard.  He decided that he had better get his mind back on work, so that everything would be done before he took time off.

“Vera!,” he called on the intercom,”Can you bring in the list of proposals from the last town meeting?,”  Vera brought them in and they got to work.

Cillay was also having a very good day.  She had been called into her supervisor’s office and given a promotion.  She was being moved from the secretarial pool and given a position as a secretary for one of the city council members.  Cillay was so happy that she rushed to Jim’s office to tell him the good news.

“Vera”, she said excitedly, “Is Mr. Benedict in?”

“Yes, he is Ms. Rockwood.  If you”ll have a seat, I’ll let him know you’re waiting.”

As Cillay sat waiting, she realized that this was the first time that she had been to Jim’s office during business hours.

She had met Vera when Jim had invited her to join them for lunch at the Bistro.  They had immediately liked one another and were becoming friends.

After ensuring that Jim was off of his business call, Vera called him on the intercom to let him know that Cillay was waiting.
“Please send her in, Vera!”, he said.

As Cillay entered his office, Jim came from behind his desk and took her in his arms, searching her face with concern.

“Are you okay, Cillay,  he asked anxiously.

“I’m wonderful!”, she said, smiling.

“Yes you are!”, he agreed, laughing when she blushed.
She couldn’t contain her news any longer.

“I just got promoted!  Mr. Kincaid requested to have me assigned as his  secretary!”, she told him.  This was her first promotion and she was extremely excited.

“That’s great Cillay!”, he said, although he did have some reservations.

Devon Kincaid was known as quite the ladies man.  If Devon had asked to have Cillay assigned as his secretary, then that meant he had his eye on Cillay for more than business.  Jim didn’t want to take away her excitement.  He decided not to tell her now.

“I have some more great news for you.”, he told her. “I’m taking you away on vacation.”

“I would love to go, Jim, but I don’t think I can get the time off.”, she said, disappointed.

“I’ve already taken care of that.  Terrance is keeping Richard while we’re gone. We leave for Shang Sim La tonight!”, he said.

A wide smile spread accross Cillay’s face and she jumped into Jim’s arms.

“If I had known that I would get this reaction, I’d have taken you away a long time ago.”, Jim told her, squeezing Cillay to him tightly.

“I’d better get back to work.”, Cillay said reluctantly, and headed toward the door.

Jim watched the graceful swing of her long blond hair, the slim grace of her body.

“Just a moment Cillay!,”Jim called.  He pulled her into his arms for a long passionate kiss.  “I love you.”, he told her.

“I love you too.”, she said as she left.
In Shang Sim La

Jim and Cillay spent their first day in Shang Sim La doing a little bit of sight seeing and just unwinding.

He took Cillay out for a romantic dinner followed by a trip to the most serene spot in Shang Sim La, the Scholar’s Garden.

Jim had decided that this beautiful, peaceful spot was the perfect place to ask Cillay the most important question of his life.

“Jim, this place is amazing!  I feel so relaxed.”, Cillay said.
Jim wished that he was relaxed, but he was growing increasingly nervous.

Cillay suddenly moved closer to Jim and kissed him lovingly.

Jim continued to hold her in his arms for a few moments after the kiss.  Cillay felt his rapidly beating heart and was concerned.

“Are you okay Jim?”, she asked.  Jim took a moment to drink in their surroundings and calm himself, before answering.

“Yes. I’m fine Cillay.”, he said.  “Cillay do you believe in soulmates?”

“Soulmates?,” she repeated.

“Yes.  The one  person in all the world who completes you.  The one person with whom you bare your soul. The only person you love with all your heart.  The one person with whom you want to share every part of your life, for the rest of your life.  I know that soulmates exist!,”he told her.

Jim got down on one knee before Cillay.  Cillay put her hand to her heart realizing what he was about to do.

“The day that I met you Cillay, I found my soulmate!  I love you with all of my heart, and I promise that I will try everyday and every night to do whatever I can to make your life happy and joyful. “, he said.

“Cillay, will you do me the great honor of becoming my wife?”, he asked her.

He pulled out a beautiful, sparkling diamond engagement ring.

Cillay didn’t speak.  She just looked at the ring stunned.

“I realize that we haven’t known each other very long, and you may not be as sure as I am that this is right for us.  Take as long as you need to decide.”, he told her.

Cillay held out her hand and Jim slid the ring onto her finger.  She covered  her mouth to stifle her loud squeals of joy, and looked at the ring on her finger in awe!

“Is that a yes?”, Jim asked smiling, holding his arms opened wide.

“Oh yes, Jim!, Cillay cried.  “This is the happiest day of my life!,”she said,  throwing her arms around his neck.

Jim held her in his arms tightly, ecstatic that he would never have to let her go!

After they returned to the house he had rented, anticipation for what was to come was strong in both of them.

Jim cupped Cillay’s face in his hands and looked into her eyes.

He reached out and gently caressed her cheek.

He pulled her to him and gave her a passionate kiss.  Then he pulled away from her slightly and gently traced the contours of her bosom with his finger.

Cillay’s pulse quickened, and she felt  hunger for him grow deep within her body.  She reached up and kissed him hard, nibbling on his lower lip.  Jim looked at her , surprised by her passion.

Jim undid the zipper of her dress, and it slid to the floor.  Cillay unpinned her hair, allowing it to fall around her face softly.

“You are so  beautiful.”, Jim whispered into her ear.

Then he swept her up into his arms and placed her on the bed .

He removed his clothing and kissed her deeply.  Cillay’s hands roamed up and down his body.  Their passion increased until they joined their bodies together making love, and Jim brought them both to a long awaited climax.

Afterwards, they cuddled  together in each others arms, deeply content.  Jim kissed Cillay, inflaming their passion again.  They made love throughout the night.

For the remainder of their trip, they did not see much of Shang Sim La.  They spent most of their time learning each others bodies, so that they could please and pleasure each other.

For the first time, Cillay really understood what it means to make love.
It was a special time that they shared together, making memories that they would never forget.

All too soon, it was time to return to Mesa Valley.

  1. That was so perfect! She didn’t need much time to think over the proposal! Smart girl!
First cam love, then came, next comes Cillay with the baby carriage! 😀 Wishful thinking!

    • I couldn’t make her say no! That’s the romantic in me! 🙂
Yes, his life was more important to her.

Your feeling about Tony is right! He is still not ready to give up!
It’s hard not to reveal ahead of time! 🙂
